SLOVAKIA
Château Bela

By Egon Mueller

Chateau Bela is now a joint venture between the family of the Baron Ullmann and Egon Mueller. Egon Mueller and Miroslav Petrech are responsible for the wine making. The castle is located in Southern Slovakia wine growing area, near to Slovak-Hungarian border. The first vintage was in 2001. Whilst Cabernet Sauvignon is planted here, the estate is predominantly known for its Rieslings.

These are full-bodied wines with the tension and racy acidity characteristic of wines made from limestone vineyards.
